White iPhone 4 Launched – At Last
On April 28th 2011, On April 28th 2011, Apple begun selling the white iPhone 4, 10 months after the launch of the black iPhone 4.
The white iPhone 4 was first available in Eastern Hemisphere and European countries with the U.S. and Canada following suit a few hours later as clocks ticked over to the new day. Both AT&T and Verizon will offer the white iPhone 4.
Apple advertised availability on the front pages of its sites in countries where the clock past midnight, although online orders were not immediately available, although third-party retail outlets appear to be free to open their doors.
Even prior to the official release, the white iPhone 4 was making its way into the hands of select customers as certain retail stores initiated early sales of the device.
Steve Jobs and Phil Schiller also conducted an interview in which they touched on some of the challenges the company faced in bringing the white iPhone 4 market a full ten months behind schedule. They advised that, other than a proximity sensor tweak nothing else has changed on the device.
